Monthly drone photography service for construction and civil engineering sites, "SoraRepo"

SERVICE

Not just filming, but creating usable monthly records

SoraRepo is a service where a video production company and a civil engineering/surveying company collaborate to regularly film and edit the progress of construction sites. Drones are used not for surveying, but as a means of filming to record the construction status and communicate it clearly to stakeholders.

01

Regular Monthly Filming

We adjust filming dates while checking site schedules and weather, continuously recording changes in construction.

02

Easily Comparable Footage

We film from the same position and angle as much as possible each month, and also standardize flight paths and speeds. We organize the differences from the previous month in conjunction with the project schedule shared from the site, and deliver records that can be used for site explanations, client reports, and internal sharing. Filming positions and areas are adjusted according to site progress, safety, and flight conditions.

03

Edited to 1-2 Minutes

We display the site name and filming date, and edit the footage to a length that allows for a quick review of progress.

04

Organized and Delivered

We organize footage by month and site, delivering it in a format that is easy to search later and convenient for explanations and public relations.

PROBLEMS

We reduce these site burdens

Difficult to convey the overall picture with just photos

By filming the entire site from above, we make it easier to share the positional relationships of structures and the scope of work.

Inconsistent monthly filming quality

We standardize the filming method as much as possible, accumulating records that are easy to compare chronologically.

Filmed materials are unorganized and lost

We will embed the site name and shooting date into the footage and deliver it organized by month and site.

It takes time to prepare the report materials.

You can use the edited short videos and still images as meeting materials or explanatory resources.

DELIVERABLES

What we deliver each month

We will combine the following items for delivery as a record that can be used throughout the construction period. The number of deliveries, format, and handling of materials will be confirmed at the time of quotation.

Edited video1-2 minute video showing the site name and shooting date
Aerial footageVideo that allows confirmation of the overall construction and work areas
Still imagesImages that can be used for reports, displays, and PowerPoint presentations
Organized dataFolder structure that is easy to manage by month and site

DELIVERY EXAMPLE

How to use the delivered records

We organize the videos for monthly reports separately from the materials for later review. The following is an example to explain the delivery contents. The number of deliveries, format, and sharing method will be confirmed at the time of quotation, not actual site data.

For use in meetings and progress reports

Confirm the overall situation and work areas for the month with a 1-2 minute edited video that includes the site name and shooting date. We organize the necessary scenes according to the audience and reporting schedule.

For use in materials and displays

Utilize still images in reports, PowerPoint presentations, and on-site displays. We confirm the intended use to ensure that the work areas and shooting dates are identifiable.

Example of monthly organization

Site Name Construction / Year Month Record
Edited video / Aerial footage / Still images for reports

We confirm the naming conventions and folder structure before starting so that you can search by site name, shooting date, and work area. We also decide on the sharing recipients, storage location, and retention period.

TEAM

Collaboration between Video Professionals and Civil Engineering Professionals

Motion Visual Japan is responsible for filming, composition, and editing. In collaboration with specialized companies in civil engineering and surveying, we create videos that are easy to understand as records and useful for explanations, taking into account the work and rules of the site.

Sora Repo is not a surveying service. It is a video service for recording, reporting, explaining, and promoting construction progress.

START & MONTHLY CHECK

Things to decide before starting, things to share monthly

Before starting: Construction period and shooting range

We will confirm the site's region, construction period, sections and processes to be filmed, and desired frequency. If filming of specific processes is required in addition to monthly overall recording, we will arrange a separate schedule and costs.

Before starting: Delivery and confirmation system

We will confirm the intended use of videos and still images, quantity, sharing destinations, and the on-site contact and confirmation personnel. The estimate will cover the number of site visits, editing scope, travel expenses, and handling of changes.

Monthly: Processes and priority scenes

Please share the construction schedule, site plans, changes from the previous month, and tasks you wish to record. We will adjust the shooting dates and scope based on safety, access, flight conditions, and weather.

Monthly: Planned use for reports

We will confirm the scheduled dates for meetings and reports, and any specific points you want to highlight. We will consider a schedule that allows delivery by the date of use and finalize the delivery terms during our initial consultation.

Consultations can begin once we know the site's region, construction period, desired frequency, and how the footage will be used. It is okay if some items are undecided. We will discuss how to share confidential materials after receiving an overview.

FOR COMPLETION INSPECTION

Use monthly records for explanations during the completion inspection

The construction changes captured through regular filming serve as material for reviewing the progress of the work. When explaining "innovations" or "construction characteristics," we combine aerial footage with ground footage, photos, diagrams, and on-site records of the relevant work to create the presentation.

Let's organize the explanation items and shooting times during construction for processes that cannot be filmed after completion. Explanation videos for the completion inspection will be produced separately from the monthly footage, based on consultation regarding content, required materials, delivery date, and cost.
